The International Online Conference “Digital Education 2024” is organized by the Center for Educational Technologies Western Balkans in collaboration with partners for the fifth consecutive year.

We continue the tradition of gathering with the desire to exchange knowledge and experiences, to learn from examples of best practices, and to discover the most effective ways of connecting education and modern technologies.

Tanja Rankovic, Education Specialist and Head of Education Programme UNICEF Serbia, is leading
programs and initiatives in education and early learning. Her efforts are dedicated to ensuring access to
quality education and improving opportunities for all children, especially those from marginalized
communities and refugee backgrounds. With over 20 years of experience, Tanja has led initiatives to
improve early learning, foster inclusion, enhance education quality, and prevent violence,
discrimination, and dropout. Her expertise spans system-level reforms—policy development,
monitoring, and implementation—gained through work with UNICEF, governments and NGOs across
Serbia, Slovakia, North Macedonia, Greece, and Jordan.
Tanja holds a MA in Education Policy and she deepened her knowledge through the Equity, Quality, and
Leadership Programme from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (USA).

Tijana Milošević

Tijana Milošević is a research associate at University College Dublin, Center for Digital Policy, holding a PhD in Communication Studies. Her research interests include digital communication among children and youth, online peer violence, and the rights of children and young people in digital environments. She also focuses on internet platformization, privacy and safety policies, the use of artificial intelligence in user protection, and the media representation of global issues. Tijana serves as the international coordinator for the EU Kids Online network and is the author of numerous articles published in reputable international journals. She has a rich research and academic career at internationally recognized universities.

Tijana is an English language teacher at “Dr Dragan Hercog” Primary School. She graduated from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, and has many years of experience in primary and secondary education. Tijana is skilled in lesson planning, English grammar, and translation. She is a certified scientific and technical translator and a court interpreter (Association of Scientific and Technical Translators of Serbia), specializing in the English language. She is actively involved in Erasmus+ projects and has experience in international collaboration and innovative educational practices.
